Italy is really amazing country with many historic villages everywhere! Local residents recommended places to visit like Lucca, Assisi, Perugia, Riomaggiore, Camogli where locals enjoy thier summer without crowd. In Italy, I visited Rome, Perugia, Firenze, Assisi, Chianti, Genova, Siena, Verona, Cinque Terre, Camogli and more! We could visit many places because my dad drove along side the road of Italy! Even though I was on the car for long hours, but I was never bored!
There was a Jazz Festival in Perugia so there are many Jazz band performing on the street for free! Our trip was like Jazz music because we drive somewhere with free spirit! Also, there was Opera festival in Verona where many Opera performed in Arena like Carmen.
Second day of the trip in Assisi, we encountered Ingrid who was a author in Italy and we got closed and had dinner together. She introduced many places to visit and she bought me a gelato! My family was so amazed by her kindness and they teared when we had to say goodbye. I think it is really amazing to meet someone in local and be friends!
A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles
