We watched the World Cup Final in Carpentras in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France. The match was played by France and Croatia, and held in Moscow, Russia. It was very special watching the final in France where filled with crowds of cheering draped in red, white, and blue and singing the Marseillaise! France football fans have taken to the streets and our family joined them. We got all excited!!! The match was being broadcast on a giant screen and everyone stood and sang along.
After a third goal, Mbappé scored France’s fourth, “Ten,nine,eight…” the countdown took us to the final whistle! France won the Fifa World Cup for the second time and the crowd celebrated dancing, singing, horning the cars! I still remember car horn celebration sounds and I really enjoyed joining them in the car!
It’s the best thing that can happen to a player. Being able to play at the World Cup is already the best, but then to raise the trophy to the sky is a dream. Andrea Pirlo
